Abstract This paper offers a progressive approach and understanding of Bioethics. First, we introduce Bioethics as an alternative to find a solution to a moral dilemma, not only between the individual (micro ethics) but even between countries (macro ethics). To use Bioethics as an analytical tool, we need to better understand ourselves through local wisdom which has already been embedded in or life. Second, we introduce Bioethics not merely as a science, but as a way of life. In this regard, Bioethics should be able to transform into “the attitude of tolerance,” in which all people will be respected and granted an equal chance to develop their capacity. Only by integrating ourselves –our local wisdom and ideology- with the universality of Bioethics principles, we will find a new sense of Bioethics.
