Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada in collaboration with SCOPE and SCORE CIMSA Faculty of Medicine UGM held a Raboan Special Edition Movie Review event on Thursday (13/10) and Wednesday (19.10). The event was held to celebrate World Bioethics Day in 2022. The film screened by the organizing committee was The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Our Father which raise important issue regarding biomedical ethics. This event is held with the aim that undergraduate students can learn about issues about medical ethics in a fun way

Wednesday (19/10) Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing held a routine Raboan Discussion Forum. On this occasion, the committee raised the theme of Disaster Management in a Bioethical Frame. The speaker of the forum is dr. Sony Ramdhani, M.H.Kes. Meanwhile, the moderator for the discussion was Desy Putri Ratnasari S.Si M.Si.
Indonesia is a country with a high disaster risk index. In addition, most areas in Indonesia are prone to disasters. This reason makes disaster management a critical topic to study.

The Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities (CBMH FK-KMK UGM) held the Raboan Discussion Forum again. The event which was held on Wednesday (28/09) invited Prof. Dr. Dick Willems from Amsterdam University Medical Center with the theme Ethics in Primary Health Care. On that occasion, the moderator was drg. Agnes B Pratiwi, MPH.

Wednesday (21/09) the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada again held the Raboan discussion forum. On that occasion, CBMH FK-KMK UGM invited the speaker, dr. Peter Johannes Manoppo SpB MBIO who is the founder of the Indonesia Bioethics Forum. dr. Peter raised the topic of Ethics in Global Health Issues. Meanwhile, the moderator was Dr. CB Kusmaryanto, SCJ.
dr. Peter explained that the UNDP (United Nation Development Program) has a draft Sustainable Development Goals that are implemented all over the world. These Goals are a reference for various parties to overcome various global challenges, including in Bioethics.
Wednesday (14/09) the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities again held the Raboan Discussion Forum routine. On that occasion, CBMH FK-KMK UGM raised the topic of Hierarchical Problems in Medical Services. The topic was presented by dr. Nabil Bahasuan., Sp.FM., S.H., M.H from the Faculty of Medicine, Hang Tuah University, Surabaya. The event was moderated by Erlin Erlina, S.IP., M.A., Ph.D.
dr. Nabil explained that recently there is a stigma spread among the community that makes police doctors not trusted by the public. This is according to dr. Nabil can be explained by examining the hierarchical problem in police medicine and military medicine.
Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities just held the Raboan Discussion Forum on Wdnesday (20/06). On that occasion, the title raised was Human Rights Perspective on Abortion for Rape Victims. The material was presented by the speaker: dr. Wika Hartanti MIH. Meanwhile, the moderator is dr. Tia Khatija.
Framing the problem: rape victim were criminalized for conducting an unsafe abortion, and rape victim was denied access to legal abortion. Expert group meeting report 2020, stated that rape is a systematic violation of human rights which is very sad and very serious, because often many cases are not processed and not resolved, and victims do not get their rights as victims. So it is hoped that there will be a better system of regulation in the handling of rape victims and that the victims get their rights.
Bioetika merupakan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh penyedia layanan kesehatan. Hal tersebut mendorong terciptanya kerjasama antara Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) Wilayah Riau dan Yogyakarta dengan Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities FK-KMK UGM untuk menyelenggarakan program bersama dalam bentuk Pelatihan Bioetika Klinis bersama anggota IDI Riau. Pelatihan yang terselenggara secara daring tersebut berlangsung sejak Selasa (21/06) hingga Kamis (14/07) lalu. Acara ini merupakan seri kedua dari Pelatihan Bioetika Klinis yang sebelumnya dilaksanakan bersama anggota IDI Yogyakarta.
Yogyakarta – Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities (CBMH FK-KMK UGM) bersama dengan Program Studi Magister Bioetika Sekolah Pascasarjana UGM menggelar webinar dengan tema “Aspek Etika dan Hukum Kebijakan Monoloyalitas”. Acara yang diselenggarakan secara daring tersebut dibagi menjadi dua hari yaitu Jumat (3/12) dan Senin (6/12). Ratusan peserta dari berbagai kalangan seperti Dokter, Manajemen Rumah Sakit, hingga Mahasiswa Kesehatan berkumpul dalam Zoom Meeting sore hari itu. Webinar ini juga sekaligus menjadi Open House Program Studi Magister Bioetika UGM yang sedang membuka pendaftaran mahasiswa baru 2021/2022.
Sesi 1 dari acara The 20th Anniversary of Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities (CBMH), Fakultas Kedokteran, Kesehatan Masyarakat dan Keperawatan UGM dimulai dengan paparan perjalanan CBMH sejak berdiri hingga mendapatkan mandat untuk menjadi UNESCO Chair on Bioethics pertama di kawasan Asia Pasifik oleh Prof. Dr. dr. Soenarto Sastrowijoto, Sp.THT-KL(K) dan dr Nur Azid Mahardinata.
